your point. Why is it surprising to anyone, or thought to be hypocritical, that Addleson would

1) Be in favor of a law that allows customers to not be beholden to the local utility co. in terms of supplying themselves with alternative energy sources and

2) Also be against a (stupid IMO) law that mandates a certain percentage of that utilities energy comes from renewable energy, which undoubtedly will make energy costs go up for all customers, including him, probably one of their largest customers. Especially if that law also mandates where and in what breakdown he can get alternative energies outside of that utility.

To me, both his arguments are very consistent in terms of his goal to keep energy costs for his casino business as low as possible. While I don't doubt for a second that Adelson can be a hypocrite and disingenuous in pushing what is best for Adelson, but again, unless I'm missing something, I don't see where you've made that case here.
